WELCOME TO THE NORWEGIAN MINING MUSEUM
The Norwegian Mining museum is situated in Kongsberg town centre, in the old melting hut for the Kongsberg Silver mines.  At the museum you can visit five museums under the same roof: The Norwegian Mining museum, the Royal Mints museum, the Kongsberg Industry museum, the Kongsberg Skimuseum and an exhibition about Norwegian mines and minerals.

The museum is open from 10:00 to 17:00 every day from 18 May to 31 August.

VISIT THE SILVER MINES

Join an exciting tour in the King's mine.  We go into the mine by a mine train 2.3 km into the biggest mine in Kongsberg.  You will be taken on a breathtaking guiding in the shafts, adits and stopes of the adit level in the King's mine.  There is also a treasure hunt for children.

OPENING HOURS:

18 May - 31 June:  11:00, 13:00 and 15:00 every day.

01 July - 15 August: 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 every day.

16 August - 31 August: 11:00, 13:00 and 15.00 every day.

The train also departs on Saturdays and Sundays in September at 12:00 and 14:00, and on Sundays in October at 12:00 and 14:00.
